Lucio Fontana’s Concetto Spaziale, Attese, is a painting that makes you feel like you’re staring into the abyss. It’s a painting that makes you feel small and insignificant. It’s a painting that makes you think about the vastness of the universe and our place in it.

Fontana was fascinated by space. He was fascinated by the idea of the fourth dimension and what it might look like. He wanted to create a painting that would capture the feeling of infinity. So he slashed his canvases. He opened them up to the void. He created a portal to another world. When you look at Concetto Spaziale, Attese, you’re not just looking at a painting. You’re looking into the cosmos. You’re looking at the vastness of space and time.

It’s a humbling experience. It’s a reminder of how small we are in the grand scheme of things. But it’s also a beautiful experience. It’s a reminder of the wonder and mystery of the universe. I love this painting. It’s one of my favorites. It’s a painting that makes me think. It’s a painting that makes me feel. It’s a painting that makes me hungry for more.
